Peg the bamboo poles and roll to the village fun
Stepping on the soft soil in the farm field and the raft to experience the plain sense of countryside in the wind.
Experience the one-and-only Red Clay Salted Duck Eggs DIY; the local boatman takes you for a journey to the relaxing scenery of rural agricultural village on a raft.
Bit by bit, the life of farmer comes together into a story on the brook. The fast pace of everyday life makes it a rare chance for people to step on the soft soil in the farm field and ride on a raft to experience the plain but fulfilling sense of countryside against the wind.
In this tour, you will experience the red clay salted duck eggs DIY activity exclusively from this area of Yilan, and see the laid-back farming village scenery on a raft. Next, you will be following the footsteps of experts into one of the Kavalan tribal villages which is relatively more well-preserved to this day in culture, identity and topographic features – the Liuliu tribe. Sitting by the old well and old trees, you will be listening to the ancient stories of Kavalan, learning how these accomplished Kavalan people who are good at waterway, farming, and fishing have been living the life in their unique way.
Finally, when your stomach seems to be growling, the trip will soon be ended after enjoying the tasty and heart-warming ‘rice-cutting meal’, which is used to serve and share with the neighbors for helping out on the harvesting.
